All the money you raise goes towards 1-to-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities. Each lesson costs just £15. You’re literally swimming so that children can learn to swim. Which is pretty wonderful.

  • Remember to use personal info and images, and make sure you’ve got a target set. Click here for some great examples from some of our amazing fundraisers.

  • Face-to-face, Whatsapp broadcasts, Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, email. Share share share that JustGiving link. Once you’ve got that first donation, the money will start flying in. Make sure it’s a good amount because your next donors will follow, so ask your BFF to help you out and get that first one in the bank.

  • Use the case studies from our pools so your donors can see how their donations are making a difference to the lives of the children that we support. Click here to see your impact.

  • Have a look at our fundraising ideas section by clicking here - there is more than one way to raise money! Reach our to your network. Get your community, children, colleagues, everyone involved.

  • You are the main character of your fundraising story. Show everyone what you’re doing and how you’re feeling about this epic swim challenge. They want to see how hard you’re working to swim so that children with disabilities can learn to swim and fall in love with the water.

  • Check with your HR department whether they will match your fundraising.

    Most big companies now like to support their staff in charitable giving and will often match what you fundraise and make a donation to the charity often doubling your initial target.

  • We have just launched our inclusion programme, we can teach anyone with any disability to swim.

    Thanks to you, we can offer this programme at more pools in 2024

  • People need to see something 7 times before they act

    so don’t feel like you overloading people by posting or messaging more than once, you are just reminding them about what you are doing.

  • Posting a video to your supporters?

    Make sure you film in portrait mode. Keep your phone steady and look into the camera. Maybe rehearse what you are going to stay or take a few test videos before you send so you feel comfortable.

    Video is the most viewed medium at the moment, why not give the people what they want.

Level’s Water’s Impact

We provide swimming lessons for children with disabilities across the UK.

From physical development to social and emotional confidence, swimming is a vehicle to change their lives for the better.

But don’t take our word for it - here are some children who benefit from Level Water lessons.

Send a video to your supporters

Here’s some examples of videos you can send to your network through whatsapp or on social media with your JustGiving link (don’t forget to follow and tag us @levelwateruk). It doesn’t have to be scripted or perfect in any way. Make sure you film in portrait mode, easier to watch and can share over socials.

Fundraising Ideas

  • Sponsor my swim

    Ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your swim challenge. Share content from our pools so they can see where their money goes.

  • Make & Sell

    Everyone loves a bake sale. Or maybe you’ve got other skills? Whether it’s cakes or artwork, think about setting your price as a ‘donation’. People can be more generous than you think.

  • Guided Walk

    Do you know anywhere really special close to home? Think about organising a guided walk and pointing out local landmarks. It’s always a joy to get out in nature.

  • Quizzes

    Whether it’s in a local pub, cafe or your children’s school. Running a quiz is a really fun way to get people involved, and a good opportunity to tell them about Level Water.

  • Match-giving

    Your workplace may be able to match your fundraising to double your donations. Make sure to ask in advance if your company can help to support you after the swim.

  • Car wash

    Grab a bucket, sponge and your rollerskates to provide a service for your town. The joy of this is that everyone can join in. Be sure to advertise in advance so people can pop in.

  • 30-day challenge

    Don’t shave your beard, do daily yoga, give up alcohol. What can you do for 30 days? Remind people throughout the month you are doing Veganuary and it’s for a good cause.

  • Dinner party

    Got skills in the kitchen? Cook up a storm and host for your besties. Set a price or offer ‘pay as you feel’ for your friends to make a donation.

  • Dog walks

    Any furry friends in your neighbourhood? Take them out for adventures and save the legwork of their owners. People will be happy to donate in return.

  • Waterside litter-pick

    Help keep your community clean and ask your friends to make a small donation to litter-pick with you. Two good causes wrapped up in one.

  • Raffle

    No-one ever buys just one raffle ticket. You could sell tickets at your next training swim or meeting friends for a coffee. Prizes could be small or large.

  • Auction

    In person or online or silently. Auctions are a great way to engage your supporters with what you are taking on. Prizes could come from friends, family, local businesses.

  • Film night

    Have friends over for a film night and charge a donation. You could up sell and offer them some tasty snacks or even have a bar.

  • Disco

    Dancing makes us happy. Host a disco, silent or otherwise. You could entertain your sister’s kids and ask her for a donation. Why not add a couple of party games too.

  • Treasure Hunt

    Hide a prize at a local venue and send your friends and family out with a couple of clues. Great way to get outside, build connection with each other and have some fun.

  • Art attack

    Paint for fun or set people a challenge. Is there a fence or building that could do with some colourful love. Or test your friends skills with a still life.
