24hr Swim Relays

The challenge is simple.

Gather a team of 2 to 8 swimmers and head to one of our six incredible lakes for a weekend of wild camping and swimming. You then swim for an hour each on rotation, for 24 hours while raising money for Level Water.

What can you expect? Plenty of swimming. A lot of hugging. Fire pits. Dancing around to keep warm. Smiling into the sunrise. Chilly midnight swims. Camping with friends. An incredible community altogether, doing something astonishing to raise money for 1-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities.

What’s the challenge? It’s not a race, timed or a competition in any way. Gather a team of between 1 to 8 swimmers and swim for an hour each on rotation, for 24 hours. The challenge is keeping each other motivated and warm. The challenge is in the endurance, the team work and camaraderie to support each other for the duration. It’s the 2am cold swims when you just want to sleep. It’s the hugs of relief at the end of each hour knowing you’ve just ticked another hour off. It’s being huddled around the fire pit with a hot chocolate and dancing to keep warm. It’s cheering the sunrise.

Who’s it for? Everyone over the age of 14. All abilities are welcome as you swim as far as you want, as quickly or as slowly as you want. Everyone will have a totally different experience of this event.

Entry is just £40 with a £200 fundraising target.
